MIRKUZ PROJECTS
PROJECT TEYAQI(ጠያቂ)

Project History
Since December 2022, the team has been conducting ward visits four times a month, bringing along light refreshments, fruits, and, most importantly, open hearts ready to listen and connect. Beyond our regular visits, we also host a quarterly event in the pediatrics ward; filled with toys, mascots, coloring sessions, and more, designed to bring joy and light to young patients. Anyone interested can join us in our weekly visits or become an active member of the project team and help lead this meaningful work from within.
Project Teyaqi has left a profound mark on the psychological well-being of patients through its consistent support system. Powered by a dedicated network of over 1,500 medical student volunteers, the project has conducted ward visits for more than 1,600 patients to date. With an investment of over 367,688 ETB, the team has provided refreshments, fruits, and organized uplifting events—particularly in the pediatric wards—to bring joy and a sense of hope to those undergoing treatment.

PROJECT TEQUAMI(ጠቋሚ)

Project History
Since its launch in 2023, the project has been working to improve patient navigation through the hospital. The team conducts regular visits to the hospital, providing guided tours and assistance to patients and their attendants. They also collaborate with hospital staff to ensure that signage and information are clear and accessible. The project aims to create a more patient-friendly environment, making it easier for everyone to find their way around.
Project Tequami has been highly effective in easing the confusion patients often face within hospital complexes. To date, the project has assisted and guided over 2,500 patients and their attendants, helping them navigate between service points with ease. The initiative’s summer volunteering program has engaged 150 high school students, providing them with a unique opportunity to serve their community. With a total operational investment of 57,000 ETB, Project Tequami continues to transform the hospital into a more accessible and patient-friendly environment.

PROJECT MEDHANIT(መድኃኒት)

Project History
Since its official start in September 2024, Medhanit has made a visible and lasting impact: helping remove financial barriers to care, enabling medical professionals to deliver timely and accurate diagnoses, and ensuring patients can complete the necessary tests and prescriptions without interruption. You can get involved by following our social media pages to stay updated on new cases and contributing to our crowdfunding efforts for patients in need of support beyond our regular capacity.
Since its launch, Project Medhanit has made a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of patients facing financial hardship. To date, the project has successfully supported 220 patients who otherwise would have been unable to afford their essential healthcare. By collaborating with generous donors, the initiative has mobilized over 1,350,000 ETB in direct financial aid. This significant support has been instrumental in ensuring that patients can purchase prescribed medications, undergo vital diagnostic investigations, and complete advanced medical procedures without the interruption of financial barriers.
